Community Involvement
The city of Meriden Fishing Derby
The annual fishing derby at Hubbard Park continues to grow each year with more prizes for the children who participate. This is a special event for many of the children of Meriden who otherwise would never get exposed to this wonderful sport.
Curtis Home Fishing Derby
We host this event annually at the club house for the children at the Curtis Home. Prizes are awarded to all the children at this event and it is always well supported by the membership.
Daffodil Festival
The 'fish pond' is set up in the Greenhouse area of Hubbard Park during the Daffodil Festival each year. The Daffodil Festival is the cities largest event by far and we are proud to sponsor and participate in this event.
St Jude's

Each year, the members of the club go above and beyond when it comes to raising money for St. Jude's. Members, their families and friends turn out in numbers to support this worthy cause and raise money for St Jude's Children's Hospital.

Hunter Safety/Archery Safety

We run Conservation Education/Firearms Safety courses through out the year, these are administered by the Department of Environmental Protection's Wildlife Division. All our instructors are certified and there are no fees for any of the courses and all materials are provided free of charge.
